Nearly Half A Million Mustangs Subject for Recall

Written on February 28, 2008 – 12:15 am | by admin |

Just recently, Mustang has issued a recall for its 435,000 cars. The cause for the recall was the airbags. The airbags for these cars need to be adjusted in order to provide adequate safety to the drivers and its passengers.

The almost half a million Mustang cars to be recalled spans models released from 2005 until 2008. Ford Motor Company, the makers of Mustang, is set to make the necessary adjustments for these cars. However, it is their respective car dealers that will be tasked to implement the actual changes in the airbag module software that the cars are equipped.

This is yet another dilemma for the dwindling Ford Motor Co. The market sales of the company are yet to go up this year, as their debts from the previous periods are still lurking behind the shadows. Ford’s own analysts say that there is a projected 10% drop in their February sales.

In other news, Ford’s board of directors is looking to compensate Bill Ford again. Bill Ford is the executive chairman of Ford Motor Co., a direct descendant of Henry Ford, the man who founded Ford Motor Co. Billy Ford refused to get his compensation as an executive chairman of the company in an answer to the Ford Motor Co.’s on-going financial crisis. Reports say that Billy Ford is yet to accept the money.
