The 2008 Subaru Impreza STI
Subaru have released a breed of a car. Experts at the company say they tried to be experimental with the new models because they want to get into the mainstream. But they must have over done it somehow because the new Subaru Impreza STI lacked the luster that Subaru cars used to have. For starters, the frameless door windows were gone.
The company tries to bring the traditional fierce Subaru engine to this model, but is doing it inside an entirely different container at that. This model has bigger intercooler and variable cam timing, which is a notable difference. And it has the square-shaped unremarkable outside frame that won’t make your head turn around. But despite its plain appearance on the outside, the car is a neat package inside. The plush leather seats are good enough for its price.
The new Subaru Impreza STI Japanese Version is equipped with a 2-liter engine with power of 304hbp and torque of 311lb ft. The tires are Bridgestone and follow the 245/40 R18 dimension. This car can run as fast as 118mph max.
Generally speaking, the 2008 Subaru Impreza tried painstakingly hard to be the car for all types of buyers. But while doing so, it had sacrificed a lot of the trademark Subaru features that the main followers of this car are attracted with. So in essence, Subaru might lose its original following while gaining a whole new range of others, which may actually bring this car manufacturer back to square one.
